As is becoming more and more common these days, a few of our branch offices have ADSL connections to the internet. Because we have quite a few people at our offices, and we wanted them all to be able to connect to the corporate network, we wanted site to site VPN connections. To comply with our Cisco standard, and make VPN connections easier for us (oh, how cynical hindsight makes us, I almost laughed heartily whilst typing the word "easier"!), we bought Cisco 837 ADSL routers for those remote sites. Whilst it might not take into account your own personal situation, this page gives a variety of different network scenarios where you might use an 800 series router, and lists the commands you might use to successfully implement the scenarios...
